Brian and Marie of Nora Street in South Shields. After finding a Newt/Salamander in the back lane by their house took it in and looked after it until i could get there to pick it up.

I havn't determined which species it is yet, although i think it is a smooth newt which is native to this country. But it wouldn't be alive now if it wasn't for the quick thinking of these nice people.

    Update:

It was a smooth newt and has now been released back where it belongs.
